10th Edition International Sol d'Oro Competition
Golden Sol aims to highlight olive oil production, promote olive oils among consumers and operators, present extravirgin olive oils and typical varieties to the public, especially as regards geographical origin, and stimulate efforts by companies towards continual qualitative product improvements.

The best olive oils are assessed and rewarded by a highly qualifi ed jury as regards harvest quality in the following categories: delicate, average and intense fruit.

Exhibitors and co-exhibitors at Sol may take part free of charge in the Sol d’Oro Competition, while the fee for entries by non-exhibitors is €150.00 + VAT.
The Official Award Presentation, with consignment of diplomas, will be held on the Monday of the show in the Mantegna Hall.
During the days of the event itself, all award-winning olive oils will be promoted through:
  • self-tasting area
  • guided tastings (Mantegna hall)
  • use and tasting of the "olive oil trolley" in the SOL GOLOSO Restaurant in the SOL Hall
  • use and tasting at SOL FOR YOU c/o Palazzo Gran Guardia alongside VINITALY FOR YOU
Furthermore award winning olive oils will be entitled to affix a "Sol d'Oro" sticker to bottles in acknowledgement of the award won in the International Competition.
